Jeigh Stanton Gregor.

I began working working with adolescents and families in 2001 and decided to enhance my career by earning my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Prescott College, Arizona. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alaska I've worked within various programs such as residential treatment centers, Fresh Start, Montana Kids College, and wilderness therapy programs for adjudicated and at-risk youth. I have also provided consultation and leadership within these settings. My consultations focused on training staff to learn how to work with youth at an optimum level through creative experiential interventions.
In addition to my background and work with adolescents, I work with adults, families, and couples.  My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, OCD, substance abuse problems, couples, grief/loss, and life transitions using an integrative approach.
I have strong skills in wilderness planning, preparation, and survival.   The most exciting adventure I’ve taken was a solo 21 day February trip into the Bob Marshall Wilderness of Montana.  Great trip! It has been exciting to pass these skills on to others during my career.  I look forward to passing this knowledge on to the children and adolescents of Petersburg as part of our Leadership Program.
For fun, I like to fly fish for Coho’s in the fall. Each summer that we’ve been here I’ve commercially fished and enjoyed the experiences; Bristol Bay is my new favorite fishery! I enjoy drinking coffee with my wife on our Kupreanof porch. Most recently, I’ve been enjoying spending time with my young son each day.
